Jennifer Katz

Jennifer Katz is currently Vice President at The Jackal Group (WEDNESDAY, THE PERFECT COUPLE, GRIMSBURG), a production company with an overall deal with Sony Television Studios. At The Jackal Group, Jennifer is developing a new slate of ongoing television series projects in comedy and drama to produce with Sony, working with experienced showrunners, legacy IP, and packaging projects with high-level talent. Prior to Jackal, Jennifer spent seven years at Searchlight Pictures, where she started as an intern. She rose the ranks from assistant to executive working across both film and television. She contributed to Oscar winning films such as THE SHAPE OF WATER, THE FAVOURITE, JOJO RABBIT and NOMADLAND, directed by some of the most innovative auteurs working today. She worked as a creative executive building the newly founded Searchlight Television studio. There, she helped develop a brand new slate of projects that defined the department, bringing in submissions, packaging, developing IP and was responsible for shepherding the development and production of Emmy-nominated THE DROPOUT (Hulu), sketch comedy series HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART II (Hulu), and Spanish-language series LA MAQUINA (Hulu). While at Searchlight TV, she sold shows and developed with various networks including Disney+, FX, Hulu, HBO and Peacock. Prior to Searchlight, Jennifer worked as an assistant at HBO in their Films & Miniseries department, where she had also interned. Jennifer is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
