The jackal Group "About Us"

The Jackal Group is a fully-financed production studio focused on multiple areas of content production including scripted and unscripted television series designed for network, cable and streaming platforms; feature films; digital productions tailored for emerging OTT and online platforms; as well as commercial theater productions. Media business entrepreneur and producer Gail Berman founded the company and serves as the company's Chairman and CEO.

Berman launched the Jackal Group as a co-venture with Fox Networks Group (FNG), creating a partnership to provide film, television and digital content to distribution entities both within and outside 21st Century Fox. In June 2018 Berman was elected Co-President of the Producers Guild of America, alongside Lucy Fisher. Prior to her election, Berman served on the PGA’s National Board of Directors and on the Producers Guild of America's Board of Delegates for two years.

The Jackal Group recently produced the unscripted phenomena Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, starring the global organization icon, for Netflix.  The company has a number of scripted television projects in development at FOX; and a robust slate of series across platforms including CBS, Amazon, AMC, TBS, YouTube Premium and Sundance Now. For Broadway, The Jackal Group is producing a contemporary musical based on the film, “The Rose.” On the feature side, The Jackal Group is developing I Almost Forgot About You, a feature adaptation of Terry McMillan’s bestselling novel of the same name, starring Academy Award® winner Viola Davis, directed by Malcolm D. Lee and co-written by McMillan and Oscar winner Ron Bass, at Universal Pictures; and The Addams Family, MGM’s animated feature based on the macabre clan, directed by Conrad Vernon, which will be release October 11, 2019.
