Alana Romoff is Director of Development, Television at The Jackal Group, where she oversees the development and production of the company’s diverse slate of television projects, ranging across cable, broadcast, and streaming platforms.
Prior to joining The Jackal Group, Alana was a development executive at Lionsgate Television. In her three years there, she shepherded comedy and drama projects at a variety of networks including Showtime, Starz, and Fox. She also supported in-house writers Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg and Joshua Michael Stern, and spearheaded the team’s IP-based sourcing and development.
Alana began her career at Principato Young Entertainment after completing her Masters in Critical Studies at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where she was named an Annenberg Fellow for her research on political satire and television comedy. She also holds a BA in Cultural Studies from McGill University, and suspects she is the only published (former) academic to have written about Party Down.
